Recent Agency Evaluations
GFP Enterprises, Inc. prides itself on maintaining a high level of performance and conduct with each and every resource dispatched. Listed below are just a few comments made by agency supervisors regarding GFP Enterprises crew performance evaluations.
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND CONSERVATION (DNRC) - PLAINS, MONTANA
"I don't give 10's for ratings, but if I did this crew would receive them. This crew could come back to the Plains Unit at anytime. When I can, I will name request them and would recommend them for any assignment. All the hard work and great attitudes were appreciated. Anyone wanting a recommendation can give me a call. THE BEST CREW WE HAVE EVER HAD AT THE PLAINS UNIT."
USDA FS/Sisters Ranger District - SISTERS, OREGON
"I cannot say enough about how great it was to have this crew. They did everything and anything asked of them. Including saw work, posting lookouts and taking weather for the division, catching spots, gridding, hot line, firing teams, fuels mitigation, felling operations, separating into mods and inter mixing with engine resources, bucket work, holding and mop up tasks all completed in a safe, efficient, organized manner with a consistent positive attitude. TRAINING OPS. Tim Bell and Cody Griffin were provided training opportunities by Chris New. There are few crews that provide these opportunities and I greatly appreciate the initiative."
BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT (BLM) - BILLINGS, MONTANA
"This crew did a great job completing the objectives given to them. All the work performed was in a tough environment (steep slope, rocky, snags present, smokey, etc.). They took the initiative on the division by setting up their own weather observer, which was utilized by the whole division. All work was done in a timely manner and all problems were mitigated quickly and efficiently. Safety was evident as the highest priority and no injuries were reported. I'd be pleased to work with this crew again."
USDA FS/OKANOGAN AND WENATCHEE NATIONAL FORESTS - WENATCHEE, WASHINGTON
"Justin and his squad leaders displayed outstanding leadership on this assignment. They are very experienced and have good depth of fire knowledge. They have created a very cohesive team and they have a great attitude. This crew was ‘coyoted’ out for their entire assignment (14 days). The attitude and work ethic they maintained with only one shower and one hot meal says a great deal about their integrity and commitment to their duty. I would be happy to work with this crew anytime. Keep up the good work!"
BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT (BLM) - BOISE, IDAHO
"Squad leaders Thoreson, Sheggeby, and Van Meer - excellent coaching and direction to each squad. The GFP crew is highly motivated and very well supervised. The leadership of the crew is very experienced and the crew is able to split into effective modules easily. GFP was a key resource in mopping up, hose lays, structure protection, and hazard tree removal on this fire. The crew boss and squad leaders are highly skilled in all phases of suppression and mop up. They went beyond my expectations for the quality of work completed. They are an outstanding type II crew, and should be called for future assignments."
